Prudential Center is a multipurpose indoor Arena in Newark, New Jersey. This multipurpose arena in the United States hosts various sporting events, including ice hockey, basketball, boxing, wrestling, MMA, Motor Sports, soccer, lacrosse, and similar sports. Construction of this large indoor Arena in New Jersey began in 2005 and was completed in 2007. Prudential Financial purchased the naming rights to the indoor Arena before it opened, and it opened as Prudential Center. It is popularly nicknamed “The Rock”. It is owned by the Newark Housing Authority and operated by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE). The current capacity of the Prudential Center is 16514. Earlier, it could hold more than 17500 visitors during Ice Hockey games. 18711 visitors can enjoy basketball games, while 17502 guests can enjoy indoor soccer. 17625 is the maximum capacity for lacrosse, and more than 17000 visitors can enjoy the concerts. The capacity for the concerts depends on the stage layout and temporary arrangements on the field.

It is well connected via public transport. Newark Penn Station is situated within a short walk away and it is just two blocks away. Newark Broad Street Station is another option for arriving at the Prudential Center in Newark. Newark Liberty International Airport is just 3 miles away.

Prudential Center Bag Policy

Only a small bag under 12 × 14 inches is allowed with essential items at the Prudential Center. Visitors can bring personal items, diapers, baby food, and medical-need items in the bag. Bagpack of any size and large bags are not allowed. Outside Food and Beverage are not allowed inside the arena. Airport-style screening is conducted at all entrances. Lockers are located outside the M&M’s Tower and the Lafayette Street entrances, where prohibited items can be stored for a fee.
