Legacy Arena is a multipurpose indoor Arena for sporting events, concerts, and theatre. It is the largest arena in the state by capacity. It can accommodate over 17500 visitors during sports such as basketball and the capacity varies according to the event. About 18000 visitors can be accommodated inside the Legacy Arena for concerts. The largest arena in Alabama opened in 1976 as BJCC Coliseum and was renamed BJCC Arena in 1999. It was named Legacy Arena in 2014 after the corporate naming sponsorship.
