The Ajinomoto Stadium is the multipurpose stadium but mainly used for the football and rugby games. This stadium Chōfu, Tokyo, Japan. This stadium was opened its gate for the public on 10th March 2001. In the starting this stadium known as Tokyo Stadium and due to sponsorship reason this stadium was renamed as Ajinomoto Stadium. This stadium was the first stadium who sold its naming rights. Ajinomoto Stadium is owned by the Tokyo Municipal Government and operated by the Tokyo Stadium Co. Ltd. Ajinomoto Stadium is the home stadium of J1 League football clubs FC Tokyo. The other tenant of this stadium are Tokyo Verdy, Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo, Tokyo Sungoliath, Japan national football team and Japan national rugby union team. Ajinomoto Stadium hosted opening ceremony of 2019 Rugby World Cup, rugby games of 2020 Summer Olympics, used as the training ground of 2002 FIFA World Cup, Football tournaments of Olympic Games. Apart from games this stadium become the shelter for survivors of 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
