Pallekele International Cricket Stadium is situated in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is also known as Kandy International Stadium. It is a large International Stadium capable of accommodating 35000 visitors during international games. It is one of the most popular cricket grounds in Sri Lanka, capable of hosting International matches of all three recognised formats.
Pallekele International Cricket Stadium was established in 2009 and it was built specifically to host the games of 2011 Cricket World Cup. It has hosted 3 games of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. It has also hosted 9 games of 2012 ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. Now, Kandy Stadium is ready to host seven games of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, including 3 super 8 group matches.
