King Power International Group purchased the naming rights of the stadium in 2011, and it was renamed to King Power Stadium. King Power International Group also bought the Leicester City Football Club.

King Power Stadium is the home ground of Leicester City Football Club, and the team’s home games are hosted there. Leicester City FC has used King Power Stadium since its inception in 2002. Leicester City Women’s football club also uses this ground as its home stadium. These teams compete in the English Football League Championship, and this ground is known as Leicester City Stadium during the tournament.

Leicester Train Station is the nearest railway station, approximately 1.2 miles away. It is approximately a 45-minute walking distance from the King Power Stadium. Bus service is available from the Leicester city center to this Stadium. The bus stop is situated on Aylestone Road, Vijay, just a 5-minute walking distance.

King Power Stadium Bag Policy and Security

Only small bags, not larger than A4, are allowed inside the stadium after inspection. Medical kits and diaper bags are allowed after the inspection. No storage facility at the King Power Stadium for the prohibited items and large Bags. Supporters are required not to bring any prohibited items into the stadium, which causes delays at the entry gates.

It is assumed that supporters will enter through the same gate listed on the entry ticket. Metal detectors and X-ray machines are located at all stadium entrances for security screening.
