Molineux Stadium is a football Stadium in Wolverhampton, England. It is one of the country’s oldest football grounds, established in 1889. During the 1940 to 1950 period, it could easily accommodate more than 40000 visitors. 29000 was the stadium’s seating capacity before the 2012 renovation. 31750 is the current capacity.

It has four main stands, which are colored differently for easy identification. The Stan Cullis Stand, Sir Jack Hayward Stand, Billy Wright Stand, and Steve Bull Stand are the 4 main stands. The locations of all entry gates, turnstiles, the museum, bar, executive box, etc., along with the premium seating, are shown on the seating layout.

Molineux Stadium Best Seats

Choosing the right seats before the events is a crucial task to make the visit worthwhile. The front row seats in the center areas around the Halfway line are considered great for the view. The WL3 to WL7 sections in the lower level of Willy Wright Stand have good views. The seats in the lower level are generally among the most expensive and in high demand during high-voltage games. Seats in same section in upper level are also good with the view. They are affordable and provide a wider view of the field.

JL4 to JL7 sections, Steve Bull Stand are good with the view from the lower level. The same section on the upper level is good with a wide view of the ground. Premium seats are the most expensive seats in the Molineux Stadium. These sections provide a good view of the field, along with the comfort and hospitality services. Visitors who want to witness the scoring moments along with the electrifying atmosphere should book behind-the-goalpost seats. The Stan Cullis Stand and the Sir Jack Hayward Stand have seats behind the gold post. The seats in the lower level have a good view as compared to the top level. The lower-level section is more expensive than the top-level seats.

Concerts and entertainment events are also organized at this Stadium. A temporary stage, along with a temporary seating area and a standing area setup on the ground in front of the stage to accommodate a large crowd. The layout of the stadium remains almost the same except for the temporary arrangements. The on-field sections, seats in the fixed stands in front and side of the stage are considered good during the musical concerts.




It is advisable to avoid the seats in the last rows, along with the extreme corner seats, during the events.

On-site parking can accommodate approximately 450 vehicles.

Disabled parking is also located near parking lot 6, behind the Stan Cullis Stand. ADA parking can accommodate 46 vehicles, and pre-booking is essential. Some other parking lots are situated around the Stadium. Birch Street, Civic Center, and Faulkland Street parking lot have a combined capacity of 800+ spaces. Supporters coming via private car are advise to arrive early to secure a parking spot near the stadium. JustPark is a popular parking portal to book parking spaces in England.




It is well-connected by public transport, and Wolverhampton Train Station is just a 15-minute walk away. Wolverhampton Train Station has a parking facility to accommodate more than 750 vehicles. Match-day bus services are available during Premier League games. Visitors can also use a radio taxi to reach the Moleneux Stadium.

Molineux Stadium Bag Policy and Security

A small bag, not larger than A4, is allowed inside the stadium after inspection. Moleneux Stadium has a strict bag policy and security guidelines. A storage facility is not available at the venue, and supporters are advised not to bring large bags. Medicines, diaper bags, and other emergency kit is allowed inside the stadium. Supporters need to take a medical exemption certificate from the authorities by sending an email.




Airport-style screening is conducted at all entrances of Molineux Stadium. Metal detectors and X-ray machines are common for security checks.
