Desert Diamond Casino purchased the naming rights to the indoor arena, and it was renamed Desert Diamond Arena. Glendale Arena is the original name and it has had previous names due to multiple naming rights.
Arizona Coyotes NHL team and the Arizona Sting NLL team were the first tenants of the Desert Diamond Arena. Both of the teams are now inactive. Arizona Ridge Riders professional bull riding team and Arizona Rattlers football team are the current tenants at the Desert Diamond Arena. Both teams play their home games at the Glendale-based arena. City of Glendale owns the arena and it is operated by ASM Global.
