Gainbridge Fieldhouse is a multipurpose Indoor Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is a large indoor venue that can accommodate over 17000 visitors during basketball games. Construction of the indoor arena on South Pennsylvania Street began in 1997 and was completed in 1999. It opened as Conseco Fieldhouse in 1999; the naming rights were purchased before the indoor arena officially opened. It was renamed Bankers Life Fieldhouse in 2011 after a new naming-rights agreement. It was renamed Gainbridge Fieldhouse in 2021 after a new naming-rights agreement.
It is the home stadium of the Indiana Pacers, which has competed in the NBA since 1999, and the home Arena of the Indiana Fever WNBA team since 2000. It is popularly known as Pacers Arena during the NBA season. The Capital Improvement Board, City of Indianapolis, owns it, and the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County, Indiana, operates it. Lucas Oil Field is Indiana’s largest multi-purpose stadium and is located just 0.5 miles from Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is another popular sports venue in the City.
