The Hartford Whalers NHL team also played here. The New England Sea Wolves AFL team played in Connecticut at the PeoplesBank Arena from 1999 to 2000. The New England Sea Wolves were renamed the Toronto Phantoms and moved to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada. The team played two seasons in Canada and then disbanded.
